Jordan's profile

After over a decade of recording and performing across the country, Mook Ali has risen to his role as Baltimore’s most promising artist. From humble beginnings in Baltimore, learning to write lyrics and cultivating his passion for art, the 28-year-old lyricist has spent the last 15 years demolishing stages in nearly every major city.

As a product of poverty, Mook Ali has used his intricate wordplay and East Coast flow to pull listeners into his world and captivate them with his story. As one of Baltimore’s best storytellers, he never ceases to paint a picture more vivid than any camera lens could ever capture, and follows his captivating lyrics with visuals worthy of the box office.

After leaving Howard University and moving to Houston, Mook managed to become a household name in the Houston underground music scene. While in Texas, Mook Ali has worked with legendary brands and artists such as Rap-A-Lot Records, George Clinton, Juicy J & Project Pat, Blac Youngsta, and many more icons. As a graduate of Texas Southern University, Mook uses his degree in Radio, Television, and Film, as well as his charismatic energy, to weave his way through the local entertainment industry no matter what city he’s in.

Since returning to his hometown of Baltimore in 2022, Mook Ali has made it his mission to not only become the most beloved artist in his city, but also his promise to uplift all of his fellow musicians in the process. Mook continues to make good on that promise with the introduction of his two staple events, “House Party” which is a reoccurring showcase curated specifically for emerging artists in Baltimore who have worked hard to earn a spotlight, and “The Pop-Up Content Shoot” which encompasses all of Baltimore’s artists, influencers, and tastemakers in free networking event hosted by Mook Ali himself. His work within his city has not only won him accolades at the Baltimore Crown Awards, but has helped elevate him to one of the city’s most beloved creators.

With hit records such as “How Rich” and “Let’s Get It,” Mook Ali introduced us to a seemingly endless catalog of beautiful reality and dark triumphs. They say, “You’re only as good as your last hit,” and Mook consistently reminds us why he is the greatest that Baltimore has to offer.
