Joan Brady is a classically trained artist specializing in oil painting, with a focus on the integration of 23k gold leaf and experimentation with cast plaster and clay. After spending seven years living on a remote island twelve nautical miles off the coast of Maine, Brady returned to Annapolis, Maryland in 2022. Her work spans a wide range of genre and media, including murals, trompe l’oeil, framed paintings, and ceramics.
Brady’s clientele includes public and private institutions such as The Henry DuPont Winterthur Museum (DE), The Hotel Hershey (PA), and the Monhegan Island Inn (ME), among others. Her work has earned recognition in numerous exhibitions and competitions, showcasing her commitment to traditional techniques and contemporary relevance.
