Leah's profile
Leah J. Taylor is a resident of Columbia, Maryland. Leah attended Howard Community College, University of Maryland, Baltimore County and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Maryland Institute of Art in 1992. Since then, she has taught various art classes to adults and children while exhibiting several installations in galleries and museums throughout the Baltimore/Washington region. As a resident artist at the Howard County Arts Center (HCAC) for 13 years, she used her studio space to complete some of her larger pieces of work. She has won several awards during her years as an artist, such as the Howie Award of HCAC in 2003, recognizing her as an outstanding artist in the county. Leah is known for her sculpture and collage pieces. Leah was most recently featured at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum in Baltimore, Maryland where she exhibited a 27 piece color church scene collage which was produced over the course of 10 years.
