Edmond's profile
Edmond Wilson
Bio
I've been a Artist for as long as I can remember. In New Jersey as a toddler, I remember discovering the 64 box of crayons and I painted on the vinyl shades that covered my bedroom windows.
Football has always been my first love and subject to create. Throughout childhood, I would draw from my brothers football books and magazines. My Art started to develop in middle school when my art teacher introduced us to watercolor and acrylic paints. We all remember that little watercolor set they gave in school ? That was my awakening.
In high school, the love really flourished as I got a taste of oil painting and still life. After graduation I attended School of Visual Arts for one year. Commuting to NYC everyday was overwhelming after walking to school a few months prior. I then came back to Jersey and Attended a local college. I took a few drawing courses but no painting classes. At that time I was trying to fit in instead of allowing the Artist to flourish.
After a 30 year hiatus from canvas painting, mom gifted me some brushes and the love was rekindled.
Today I'm a full time Artist working on all types of projects, from paper to clothing to football field logos and large scale murals.
My motto is " if it can hold paint, I can can do it" I work from my studio in Elkridge, Maryland.
