Melora's profile
Melora’s travel blog, earthonfoot.org, chronicles journeys along pilgrimage trails, cobblestoned cityscapes, and quiet hills—often running or walking, sometimes dining with scientists and professors. She’s also been known to make a sketch or two along the way. In fact, her paintings, drawings and other art can be found in private collections around the world.
Melora holds a BFA in painting from MICA, a Master of Acupuncture from TaiSophia Institute (now Notre Dame of Maryland University), where she taught and practiced acupuncture for many years. She is currently working on a novel.
“Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven's sake. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possibly can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something.”
Kurt Vonnegut, A Man Without a Country
