"Honey — Peals' second full length album — builds rapturous melodies of interlocking and looped guitars that channel kosmische musik, ‘70s Eno, and new wave hooks à la Robert Smith into above-the-clouds dreamscapes. Unexpected and delicate textures—wind, bells, the whirs of a film projector—situate listeners in the elemental immediacy of Peals performances, which take place in art galleries or open fields as often as traditional music venues.

This is Rose. I completed this build along side the dandy lion guitar in what I refer to as my flower series. The rosewood top is what makes this one a truly unique instrument. Rosewood is traditionally used in acoustic guitar building but when the time came to bring materials together for the project, I went into my wood stash and selected my only set of rosewood to be the top. From there I ran with a rose theme. This instrument also features and ebony fingerboard, ebony pickup rings and rosewood head cap.

The Variegated Project is in support of Miles Davis' statement  concerning  change  which I embrace as a major component in my artworks.  Without this variance as a constant vision embodied in my art, it can tether stagnation , quickly … leading to boredom. I'm always seeking new vistas for the deviation from the previous work that I created.

About Metropolis Binocular
The latest Album Metropolis Binocular by Von Vargas is some of Von's most transparent work to date. It features the woes of childhood in underprivileged environments, losing family members to the trap "Oceans Fade", with honest and heartfelt lyrics.

I wanted to create actual movement and sound to accompany my paintings. Recorded and compiled by a mostly analog process, the result is moving paintings that are collaged and combined with layered melodies from a vintage Yamaha keyboard.

Music Video for "A Dream of You and Me" by Future Islands, music by Future Islands, visuals by myself in collaboration with William Cashion.

404 combines the urgency and immediacy of pop music with intense projected visuals and disparate choreography to enhance and effectively narrate the internal struggles associated with anxiety, displacement, disappointment and then re-emergence through these. The projections alter the body, the body alters the words, and the words guide the music. No one is in control, but every element is fighting for power.
