Dreamscape is an installation featuring stitched-together cyanotypes of my hair, adorned with embroideries from my dreams, along with a zine and an interactive space. Dreamscape served as a space of exploration about change, transitions, and the sense of self that, for me, is attached to my dreams -- both the aspirations I have for my life, and my subconscious.
We visualize Astrological Meditation Paintings on the walls of households in Baltimore, Maryland, the United States, all countries big and small.  These paintings will serve as a reminder that we are more the same than different, that we all have the same blue blood flowing  through our veins, breath the same air ...  Through these Meditations we will begin understanding that we are here to care for each other , the Earth, its solar system and beyond, bringing a balance of Joy and Serenity into our lives and our community.
An ongoing project (2009-present) in which I manipulate light in various ways and capture it on camera...for me these images are meditative, energizing, and generate an overall positive/hopeful feeling.

Peals occasionally performs with large-scale immersive video projections created by the artists. The meditative videos were all shot by the artists, occasionally manipulated or shown as-shot. We pair each video with a composition or improvisation that suits the visuals to create an immersive experience.

Watch clips of these videos full-screen while listening to tracks from Honey.
This manifestation of the Tree of Life was first inspired by ornamental honeysuckle vine which grows outside my studio. Recalling the story of the Sacred Tree, "For all the people of the earth, the Creator has planted a Sacred Tree under which they may gather, and find healing, power, wisdom and security". I imagined the honeysuckle was the Blue Fairy's, Sacred Tree of Life. The Blue Fairies being the final evolution of people. As I continued to paint, I imagined the trees roots growing down to the Earth's core likes veins.
There comes a time to each one of us when circumstance forces us to question the significance of life. We immerse ourselves in an agonizing self-debate with such depth that our mental equilibrium becomes suspect.

My delicious strategy of adjustment from life's twists and turns is with a needle and thread. In concert they help to settle my troubled mind. I once again hear silence with a new level of joyful awareness and I tell the world, "quiet please", life in session.
