Showcasing the cherished connections between Druid Hill Park and surrounding neighborhoods, the Arches & Access project illuminated and activated the historic Druid Hill Park Gate at Madison Avenue, Druid Hill Park, and the Rawlings Conservatory with colorful lights, a community parade, and a public party. On the evening of November 3rd, 2019, over three hundred residents, artists, and performers transformed Madison Avenue at Druid Park Lake Drive into a spectacular, roving block party.
I believe that everyone must fight to make an impact on the world in the time they have been allotted on this earth- whether our actions are positive or negative is a matter of choice.  We are all combatants who fight for/against something.  The most critical of these battles is the one that takes place inside us daily when we reflect on how our experiences have affected us throughout our lives.  The works in this series encourage us to ask ourselves this question: what are you fighting for?

Over 40 sculptures and paintings by contemporary artist Jim Condron explore the ephemeral materials of life one chooses to collect. Nostalgia, remorse, repression, stamina, chance and vitality intermingle with paint, thickening mediums, solvents, adhesives, remnants, wood, foam, cement, scrap metal, plastic, repurposed animal fur, clothing, mannequins and trash cans through these operatic paintings and assemblage constructions.

A sensitivity to craft is not mutually exclusive to a sensitivity to social issues within the generations past of craft pedagogy.
Wilson College’s Cooley Gallery presents ‘You never wash it off completely,’ an exhibition of installations and recent works by artist Jim Condron. The show will run from September 4th to December 15, 2019. To mark Wilson College’s sesquicentennial, Condron worked with the college’s archivists, professors, and students to construct compelling art installations from campus relics and artifacts. The works of art engage with Wilson College’s rich and unique history.

As a percussionist specializing in contemporary music, one of my foremost responsibilities and privileges is to collaborate with composers on fostering the continuation of our repertoire. Here are some of the pieces I have helped bring into the world along with some that I look forward to performing upon their completion:

Upon graduating from the Yale School of Music in 2016, I helped my mentor launch his professional chamber ensemble leading up to its debut in 2018. I served as its artistic administrator until the group obtained management, first with Kanzen Arts and now Colbert Artists, and I continue to serve as a core member of the Collective's performing roster. More info can be found at thepercussioncollective.com while you can read the ensemble's bio below:
