The series Faces was jumped started from my series Celebration of Women Through Faces in Fabric. This series not only incorporates embedded fabric covered faces but familiar faces of objects like clocks, sea life, even butterflies and more  . No particular gender or race, just scenes left to the viewer's imagination. Art is universal and speaks to the individual in many ways, awakening our senses at different levels promoting energy and enthusiasm. This is an on going series and will continue in 2024.

I am predominately a studio painter. I feel most comfortable there. Being a perceptual painter and a collector of objects it is only natural that my main subject as a painter should be still life.
At Gallery Four for solo exhibit titled "Stopgap" March 2013

Statement for Communal Drinking Source:
This participatory art object simulates nature, becoming a surrogate for bodies of water. The water’s edge was a meeting place for our ancestors, a place to nourish oneself, to bathe and to socialize. CDS combines the experience of socializing by the water’s edge with that of an ordinary drinking fountain, an object that is ubiquitous in the modern realm.

Statement for Primal Tan:
Beyond our comprehension there are Entities that we do not understanding. Some may be "captured" for brief moment in time and space. These characters represent an exploration into their identities.
Post-Arcadia is an exploration of a world that is rapidly becoming both paler and darker. Arcadia, as depicted by Renaissance painters, is a beacon of unspoiled wilderness. Post-Arcadia is a vision of our present environment through a lens of homage and memory. These dystopian landscapes were inspired by a very lucid dream. The bands of color in each piece recall a more abundant world.
Continuing the series of still lifes with strong contrast, these small paintings on panel depict fruits, vegetables, and other interesting objects. The point is to take a close look at ordinary things.

Most paintings are 5" x 5", all are painted on a panel: either wood, masonite, or archival aluminum.
PAINTINGS 2013-2014
This series sparked the beginning of my interest in microscopic organisms and biological abstraction. I began by painting animals that were being enveloped by their environment as if they were undergoing the process of decay and regeneration after death. Later I headed toward abstraction, just focusing on the molecular aspects of life, such as the atoms and molecules that make up our bodies and our world around us.
