Painting: Inclusive Space

"Inclusive Space" is to present unspecified yet visually and psychically resonant visions. In order to paint senses, feeling or thoughts that are indescribable in words, I negotiate with my geographies and memories to build an immersive experience on a two-dimensional surface. There are indications of times and places, such as an extraction of places, spans of time period, or a generalization of both that may trigger emotions. I wish my work can contain both conceptual matter and concreted existence that are relatable to each viewer in certain aspects.

Subway Subconsciousness

I grew up in Shanghai, China. Subway is my main method of transportation. On subway when train accelerates, my mind travels with the same speed but into another dimension. Elements of people and objects that exsist in either the real world or imagination start merging together. A new world is then formed. I become the ruler of my secret kindom.
