About Hedy

Hedy Ward (b.2001, Albuquerque, NM) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Baltimore, MD. She received her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art (2024). Ward's work explores leisure and play as natural and inherent necessities.

She has shown work in Albuquerque, NM, Marfa, TX, and Baltimore, MD, notably the 2025 Sondheim Semifinalist Exhibition at the Peale Museum, and a solo show at the Gateway Gallery at MICA, both in Baltimore.

Collection One

This collection of work was primarily created for my undergraduate thesis, which a few select older pieces from my undergrad career. Much of this collection focuses on a theme of utilizing the visual language of cartoon to digest and critique ongoing policital, social, and technological happenings.
