The House that Daddy Built is a multimedia installation centered around propaganda from Altria - the 2003 rebranding of Philip Morris Companies, Inc headquartered in Richmond, VA. This work addresses the theft, violence, and greed associated with the early founding of the United States and pivots that against the artists childhood aspiration of becoming a famous architect. This work explores how slavery, phobia, violence against indigenous people, and the deadly effects of tobacco have been denied throughout history by showcasing the 2003 rebranding through the lens of a 7th-grade history presentation.
