"The Z Goes To Jail" Part 1
Drawn in 2022, this is part 1 of the first Snikle Force comic story, "The Z Goes To Jail." As a teenager, The Red Z's parents let him set off a nuclear bomb in the New Mexico desert, with secret support by friends in the military. 30 years later, documents of this cover-up are found and he is arrested for violating the International Nuclear Test Ban Treaty. Unbeknownst to the local police who booked him, he had a deal to take in a criminal of their choosing to test a new high-tech prison cell in the Snikle Force Base. The Red Z is jailed in his own cell. Meanwhile, Snikle the Pickle and his boss at the much-maligned software company FFPS, Fred, get into a little spat about leadership.

"The Z Goes To Jail" Part 2
Drawn in 2022-2023, this is part 2 of the first Snikle Force story, "The Z Goes To Jail." The Red Z, locked in a high-tech dehumanizing prison cell of his own design, must watch Snikle the Pickle take the lead of The Snikle Force in his absence. Fred, who is Snikle's boss at FFPS but Snikle's subordinate in The Snikle Force, constantly makes fun of Snikle's lack of leadership experience, despite his own shortcomings in that regard. Fred and The Red Z both wear Snikle down, who's only keeping The Z in the cell to hold on to a three million dollar government grant, until the reduced Snikle Force is called into action. Fred brings in another worker from FFPS to fill the gap left by The Red Z. Although the domestic terror group they were sent to fight against all perish, the co-worker does as well due to Snikle's inexperience.

"The Z Goes To Jail" Part 3
Drawn in 2023-24, the third and final part of the first Snikle Force story, "The Z Goes To Jail." Following their embarrassing livestreamed debacle of a skirmish against domestic terrorists, Snikle must deal with the fact he indirectly led to his co-worker getting killed. Just as Snikle's paranoia boils over, Fred decides to let The Red Z out of his cell, and tricks Snikle into getting locked in instead (as well as himself, accidentally). The Red Z flies to The Hague to argue his case with a complicated fabrication, only to find that they never wanted anything to do with him to begin with. After returning a free man, he lets the rest of The Snikle Force out of the cell just to rub in how Snikle had treated him over the grant money. Conveniently, he also reached a settlement with the dead co-worker's estate for that exact amount, for no reason than to rub in further that he won the 3-way leadership pissing contest.
About Patrick
I am a cartoonist who grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and moved to Baltimore in July 2024. My comic, The Snikle Force, is something that I've been doing since I was a small child. After practicing for many years to get better at drawing and writing, in 2021 I began work on the final form of the series. The way I did it up to that point was just making up the stories as I drew them, no penciling first, drawing things with whatever bic pens I had laying around, which worked fine when I… more
The Z Goes To Jail
This is the first Snikle Force story, "The Z Goes To Jail." It is 60 pages long and took about 2.5 years to complete, hence the artistic improvement between the beginning and the ending. Plot details are listed in the work sample pages for each part. Listed as interdisciplinary because I did both the writing and the art for the comic.

Business Dealings With The Snikle Force (WIP)
This is the second Snikle Force story, "Business Dealings With The Snikle Force." This is still a work in progress, started in September of 2024. I am currently 19 pages in as of this writing. I will replace the WIP version of the comic with the completed one soon, as I only have 2 more pages to go in Part 1. Listed as interdisciplinary because I did all of the writing and art for the comic.
Wrecked Quixotics
This is a growing series of fictional car crash drawings. As a child, I spent a lot of time looking at a website with car crash photos, and spent many years drawing my own. As an adult, the pictures on that website feel a bit exploitative and voyeuristic, since many of them involved death or injury. These drawings, of which there are currently 78, aim to replicate the experience of looking on that website without the human cost. None of the crashes I draw are real, or based on real accidents. The cars are real, the drawings are made with reference photos of intact models. The drawings are each about 3" x 2.25", and more impressionistic than The Snikle Force, so they aren't too intensive to make. I uploaded 10 of my favorites to view here.
