This is a hand built container with stackable compartments. The image on the lid is a nautilus applied in black slip with a hand cut stencil. The container was fired to cone 10 in a salt kiln.

this piece was hand built with extruded stoneware. Although originally it was designed to be a sculptural wall piece, it has functional implications as well as a table piece.
