  • The Last Charge of Wyatt Earp and His Immortals
The Last Charge of Wyatt Earp and His Immortals

Acrylic and mixed medium on canvas: 28” width x 34” height

The subjects shown represent the four members of the men of Wyatt Earp’s company in the movie titled Tombstone. Their perhaps unusual appearance demonstrates that any action can be viewed in any number of ways depending upon the viewer’s philosophy and perspective.

  • Homage CoBrA (Copenhagen/Brussels/Amsterdam)
    Homage CoBrA (Copenhagen/Brussels/Amsterdam)

Acrylic and mixed medium on canvas: 28” width x 38” height

CoBrA was an early 1950s Northern European movement which favored the art of children and untaught painters. It is said by many to be the last true new movement in art. The many varied colors and hints at popular imaging, as seen here, are typical of the movement. This painting, like many CoBrA works, can lead the viewer to form their own conclusions as to the “meaning” of the art.

  • Breaching the Planck Length Without Creating New Black Holes
Breaching the Planck Length Without Creating New Black Holes

Acrylic and mixed medium on canvas: 22” width x 30” height

The many squares represent quantum particles which could be released as the Planck length, the shortest distance in physics, is being breached. The formation of particles into a circle can be seen as the result of particles realigning themselves without entering into what could become a newly created black hole.

Reminders of Gaza

The featured paintings are used to remind the viewer that Gaza, Palestine is in danger of being turned into a resort. It is hoped that the pictures will stimulate in viewers a desire to learn more about the problems Gaza faces.

Each picture shows either the destruction, fear, or possible future sufferings of the people of Gaza.

  • Gaza Guernica Pastiche
    Gaza Guernica Pastiche

The painting is presented with the red, black, and green of Palestine prominently displayed over sections of gray, gray hopelessness. Some specific events are pointed out in the painting. One such example is the bombing of Palestinians gathering flour. Men, women, and children were targeted, fired upon, and murdered. Scenes such as that are juxtaposed with paintings of some of Picasso’s original characters. All of this will hopefully serve to motivate viewers and have them think about the distinct parallel between the bombings of Guernica and Gaza.

  • Soirée Commemorating the Construction of Gaza Takeover Condominiums
Soirée Commemorating the Construction of Gaza Takeover Condominiums

Almost all of the area pictured in red, blue, black, and green represents areas of new construction in Gaza. The architect of this disasterous vision is a figure in black. He looks upon his handiwork with an assumed soldierly posture, while his partner in green, obviously female, has a face of tearful resignation.
