About Rey

Rey Velasquez Sagcal is a Filipino-American visual artist based in Baltimore, Maryland. He creates paintings and video performances that express moments of vulnerability and explore themes of identity and relationship. In 2019, he graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in Illustration. His work has been included in group exhibitions at the Mana Contemporary gallery in Chicago and the Asian Arts & Culture Center at Towson University.
