About Patrick

Baltimore County

Hello Baker Artist, I am an actor/special fx artist residing in Baltimore County. My mom got me into monsters, costumes and horror at an early age. I've had a problem ever since.  I have worked on many of the larger local projects including HOC, The Night Watchmen, VEEP and The Sultan and The Saint as well as other TV projects seen around the world. Currently I am producing my own local horror/comedy film "Don't Open Until... Krampus".  We are including as many local people as we can fit.... more

Don't Open Until Krampus

This is my first project that I am producing and directing (with assistance from many friends). My girlfriend and I are writing the story. We have several Baltimore locations where we already have approval to shoot. We are including as many DMV industry people as we can that are interested. I am a no budget film maker. I have spent 1000's on the main creature suit, costuming and props as well as the practical spfx for the movie. I am amazed the our pouring of support from our local friends and colleagues. If I were to be granted this award I would feed and pay my staff that are doing it for fun. I'm doing the best I can. Thankful people just enjoy being around a 7'9" monster. We need new camera so I don't have to beg my friends to bring theirs. Post production is where I see the most cost associated to make it right. I have several musicians working on musical pieces for this as well. This is going to be an exciting project. The first shoot is in the can and a weird teaser can be seen on the site.

  • Custom mask

This was sculpted in Monster clay molded in hyrdocal and cast in latex. I placed it over a store bought plastic skeleton for movement and painted and added the horse hair and synthetic beard hair.

  • Final scroll

The scroll was scribed by my friend playing the role of The Chosen One. His partner translated the warning that Gina wrote into German. It's really cool prop.

The Sultan and The Saint

"The Sultan and the Saint tells one of the great, lost stories from history. Set in a past period of East-West conflict, it speaks with urgency to our present. Two men of faith, one an itinerant Christian preacher, the other the ruler of a Muslim Empire, bucked a century of war, distrust, and insidious propaganda in a search for mutual respect and common ground."

I had the opportunity to play the role of Ze German. We filmed most of this on a sound stage in Baltimore where we spent many long nights under the Natty Boh sign battling each other. I had the great fortune of working with the stunt crew fighting my way to the Sultan and well you just have to see it. :)

Premieres Dec 26th 2017 at 8pm on PBS Nationwide.

The Night Watchmen

"Three inept night watchmen, aided by a young rookie and a fearless tabloid journalist, fight an epic battle for their lives against a horde of hungry vampires."

This was filmed in Annapolis. For the last 2 weeks of production I was makeup assistant under Rj Haddy using various technics to transform actors into clownpyre characters and victims into gory messes. I also had the chance to be an extra a couple scenes. I was snowed in sleeping in the makeup room.

This project has won many awards around the world. It's available on DVD and Bluray and many streaming service.
