Boreal Owl

This piece began with finding some lichen covered bark on a wooded path near my home. I wanted to try incorporating the bark into a felted piece. I like the way the colors and textures work together in this piece. (2019)

Orchard Grass

Orchard grass in the winter is so gorgeous, especially when it snows. I like how the wheat/rust colors look against the snow. (2019)

This felting was created with wool from the sheep we used to have. In fact, I think of this as a portrait of one of the ewe's, Pepper. She was always very alert and at the same time a little wary. She also bossed the other sheep around. (2018)

This is an image of one of the covered docks across Lake Elkhorn done from a photo I took late in the summer. Note the clusters of algae on the water.
