The Frame Series
Each piece in this series transforms a vintage picture frame into a weaving loom–exploring the tension between craft and art in weaving.
A frame is a fixed presentation vessel, synonymous with formalized display in museums, galleries or the home. Activating it as a useful tool, the frame possesses its own character and adapts to the distinct qualities of the weaving process–creating a relationship of both element and craft.
