Gift of the Cucurbit

Our connection with other living beings and those shared histories have shaped our relationship to land, family, and community. I use traditional metalsmithing techniques to create objects inspired by members of the cucurbit family. These works invite viewers to consider the responsibility of protecting and preserving all forms of life. By nurturing individual species, we cultivate healthier ecosystems, promote biodiversity, and ensure that heirloom varieties can be carried forward from one generation to the next.
