Plastic bags and hot glue
This piece criticizes on our economic system on the reliance of short term instant gratifications of buying goods then the long term ones (eliminating our problems like poverty, hunger, etc.) which the government could provide but choose not to. The checkerboard pattern represent the "order" which those companies put on for this economic system. Is it actual comfort knowing you have to work constantly for comfort? Security? For money for those things to live?
The front side of the artwork has neat checkered boxes of different designs and or logos of companies on plastic bags used and commonly bought by American consumers.
The back side of the artwork has "messy" and "disorganized" look of the same plastic bags. An opposite look from the front side of the artwork.
