-What makes this project different from any other album you've put out? 

Two things. 1. This is the first time I have really discussed my personal feelings about things that have happened to me in my life. I talk about my pain and my triumph. 2. I put the art over the message. My flows are water. My rhyme patterns are endless. The bridges really connect the dots and the music touches you even without the lyrics. I feel that this is my best work. 

-What do you hope is the biggest takeaway from the project?

I want people to get to know me. I want to connect with everyone who has ever lost a parent. Especially if it's a young man who missed the love of his mother. This is for you and me.

-Is there a central concept, narrative, or reoccurring lyrical theme that ties the songs together? What story is the artist trying to tell?

Lack of Love is the most central scenario to my being. Because of the lack I felt I lacked confidence. I felt like I wasn’t heard or regarded. Then my feelings were hurt because I couldn’t understand how she would raise my younger brothers and not me. Then I felt alone because I had to grow up without my siblings. Imagine being the oldest boy and not really knowing your little brothers. I really needed my mother. Now I don’t. This whole break up killed my father in my opinion and I needed him. 

All this turmoil caused me to chase money so that a woman would love me and never leave me. That became my Deepest regret. I had to learn that when you expect to be loved as a result of doing something that’s conditional love. Once the conditions are gone they won’t love you no more. When I met my wife I started to learn about my self. I was worried about her walking away like my mother did. In these verses I talk about all I learned from my wife about myself. 

Then I begin to grow. My wife doesn’t walk away but, we have some miscues in our relationship. I’ve learned the truth and I’ve met Jehovah so now that I am a new person. I want a new love. I want to love my wife differently. I want her still but I want the trauma that we have from our childhood removed from our marriage. We get a second chance because we never did this before. She’s my FOREVER. LoL

This project involves collective thoughts and revelations, truths and ideas, at DevRock’s present conscious state.

I expected to provide an outlet of truths as well as create insight and opportunities along with life lessons for individuals who seek the truth.  

I expect this music to teach and show love, an alternative to what we see in hip hop so that those who seek something positive can enjoy it without guilt.

Trying to give children and people who believe in the truth, music to listen to. Also influence individuals who are seeking answers about unresolved emotions, conflictions, and anxieties they have in their lives.
