Woodblock, linoleum and etchings.  Inspired by the form and function of these handmade African artifacts. I have created my own interpretations as a point of departure.  

The changing colors and moods of these mountains around Stellenbosch, South Africa, mean a great deal to me;  they are part of my childhood.   

The flat planes of the Eastern Shore of Maryland; their simplicity, and changes in color reflect the essence of the place.

A visit to New Mexico opened my eyes to a landscape of color and earth formations, revelations of the earth's strata, and the history of the country and its people. 

Cape Town's seas  and beaches—crashing waves, tidal  pools and bathing boxes—are part of my upbringing.
