    "Better Days," an unreleased composition by Camille "C.Jai" Scott, captures the complex emotional landscape of progress and struggle in the fight for social justice. Premiered live at Keystone Korner in Baltimore on November 20th, 2024, with The Storage Unit Collective, the piece reflects the ambivalence felt as we acknowledge the victories of the civil rights movement while recognizing the work that remains. Through its intricate melodies and dynamic rhythms, "Better Days" evokes both the hope for a brighter future and the deep resolve needed to continue the journey toward equality.

About Camille

Camille “C.Jai” Scott is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer whose love for music bloomed around age 8 when she would study and mimic the praise and worship drummers from her church. Her creative path began as a TWIGs student and her love for musical production, writing and performance was developed through her attendance as a percussion major at Baltimore School for the Arts.
