    Lead Role: Margarita/Yeshua

Creating a polar opposite in both the role of Margarita and Yeshua, Autumn Breaud is the perfect foil for Treasure’s dual casting. Simple, sweet, yet strikingly present, Breaud is the perfect fit not only for Yeshua, but for Margarita, particularly once she becomes invisible and free, going over the moon with enthusiasm to attend the devil’s ball. -TheatreBloom review

Autumn Breaud plays Bridgette Miakowski, a former sheriff’s deputy who set up shop as a Private Jane. Breaud gets top marks for projecting just the right mix of world-weariness and dogged determination for a private eye in the storied tradition of this genre. -DC Theatre Arts Review

In a triangular room with wall mounted spinning elements, a female voice over a loud speaker instructs subjects to relax and cooperate while technicians scan them with a blinking wand. Once exterior conditions reach a safe level, a count down begins, a buzzer sounds, and subjects are released. -Scott Pennington

    Gnome

In this durational performative installation and public intervention, stilted ladies in turn of the century dress sip tea, gorge themselves upon cupcakes, and open perfectly wrapped gifts at their tall table. Hard-laboring garden gnomes labor to provide them this luxurious lifestyle. At first the gnomes work happily, but soon become disgruntled due to decreased break times and the excessive use of their bodies as croquet wickets. A passionate, chaotic protest ensues as the workers fan out into the audience with picket signs. The ladies' loyal butler tries to moderate to no avail, until they are offered peace in the form of cupcakes. Temporarily satisfied they get back to their work. - Melissa Webb

    Performer

Pink and Blue Dilemma: The Foam Incident is a performance/installation originally created for Artscape in July 2010. It consisted of an 8'x8'x13' tall structure resembling a factory, a 3'x4'x6' foam production unit and numerous smaller elements including road blocks and signage. Throughout the three day festival the ‘foam unit’ would periodically spew foam resembling industrial waste onto the street. Technicians/Performers dressed in pink and blue protective gear would then try to manage and neutralize the spill using various tools including brooms, shovels, garden sprayers and a leaf blower. Despite the projected hazardous nature of the situation spectators would enjoy dancing and playing in the foam until it stopped flowing. - Scott Pennington

    Performer

The Interstellar Species Survey is an interactive installation/performance created for Artscape 2008 consisting of a 9' tall x 18' diameter, octagonal spacecraft and 8 performers in elaborate "alien" costumes. The craft's interior contains numerous control panels, simulated technology and various tests that spectators were subjected to upon entering the installation. Several video displays run throughout the day accompanied by a soundtrack of ambient 'alien noise'. As the sun set the craft is lit from the inside with built-in light effects and projections onto the fabric hull that are visible from inside and out. - Scott Pennington
