About Anson
I am a visual artist and a civil rights attorney. I live and work in Baltimore City. My art celebrates, honors and embraces Black excellence, Black culture, and Black history. I use my paint brushes and pencils as tools to promote social justice, respect and understanding.
Hero: The Black Male Role Model
Anson Asaka's solo exhibition, Hero...The Black Male Role Model, celebrates the achievements of Black men in law, politics, writing, sports, STEM and other areas. Mr. Asaka's art exhibition honors fathers, husbands, brothers, and sons. Mr. Asaka's exhibit honors Black men who fought and died for freedom.

The Black Queen in All of Her Splendor and Glory
This project includes paintings from my solo exhibition, the Black Queen in All of Her Splendor and Glory. This exhibition was held at katsea gallery in Towson, Maryland during Women's History. The exhibition honors the achievements of Black women in law, politics, medicine, athletics, poetry and other areas. The opening reception was covered by WMAR, the AFRO and the Baltimore Times.

Revolution on Canvas
This project includes paintings from my solo exhibition, Revolution on Canvas. This exhibition was held at the Mansion at the Great Blacks in Wax Museum in Baltimore, Maryland on October 9, 2021. This exhibition was an artistic protest against police brutality.
