It's a Beautiful Day

The Yard 40 x 30My husband wanted a dog. I did not. And, IF we were to have a dog, I wanted a 6 or 7 year old fully trained flat coat retriever, who would lie quietly and chew on something or other while I worked.
So, we compromised. We got a dog.
And what we found, (well, what my husband found on Pitties and Purrs rescue), was a 4 month old Jack Russell mix. (He WAS house trained.) Thank you, Nichol!!
Anyway, this is to say-we also got a fence. So Steve can run around as much as he likes! And I can paint in the yard.
I adore the little guy. But the only time he lies quietly is when he's exhausted from being a Jack Russell mix.

Scotland YardMy son and daughter-in- law moved to Scotland a while back. They TOOK MY GRANDDAUGHTER with them and left me the cat. The cat was lovely, but did not speak as well as the granddaughter (who is now fluent in Glaswegian), and she found a home with a loving student. (The cat, not the granddaughter.
