Sophia's Blue Fairy Tree of Life
I choose the peach tree as the Tree of Life because it is the tree of immortality and life everlasting. The peach tree is the Tree of Life for the blue fairies. Amongst the peaches are the ten spheres, or stations if you will, of the Qabalistic tree. These stations are aspects of life that we either find ourselves in at different points in our lives, or other times we aspire to with conscious focused study. It is something I continually find myself doing whether on purpose or by osmosis. It is always a growing experience, like the Tree of Life.
Athena's Blue Fairy Sacred Tree of Life
This manifestation of the Tree of Life was first inspired by ornamental honeysuckle vine which grows outside my studio. Recalling the story of the Sacred Tree, "For all the people of the earth, the Creator has planted a Sacred Tree under which they may gather, and find healing, power, wisdom and security". I imagined the honeysuckle was the Blue Fairy's, Sacred Tree of Life. The Blue Fairies being the final evolution of people. As I continued to paint, I imagined the trees roots growing down to the Earth's core likes veins. Once I reached the Earth's red core, I understood that everything has seven Chakras. Chakras, the spiral vibration of all life, begins at a root, represented as red. Thus, I visualized that everything living on the Earth is rooting towards it's core and being one with the earth, all things reaching outward towards the Sun and the Universe to Enlightenment.

Exploring the World of Fairies
Exploring the world of fairies-The Athena Sophia Collective was born in the Summer of 2013, when artists Athena (Bonnie J. Warren) and Sophia (Carrie S. Reinking) were plein air painting in Bonnie’s garden full of edible flowers, herbs, veggies and fairy like creatures.
The more focused they became on the garden, the more in tune they became with the dance of fairies. Athena's and Sophia's paint brushes danced on canvases as Sophia explored the idea that the garden was filled with blue fairies. Athena's brush began to tell the story that these fairies were always there, hiding among the flowers, coming out to dance and celebrate life when no one was looking or listening.
