Wall Hanging Ceramics with Mixed Media (Part 4/4)
"The unknown, uncertain and unexplained are the driving forces behind my creative process. Primarily made from clay, my sculptures also include other elements carefully added with great attention to detail. These non-clay parts adorn the works and either blend seamlessly with the ceramic base, or starkly contrast it, adding visual interest. My otherworldly artworks provoke wonder and examination, generating an intangible human experience through curiosity, caution, attraction and fear. While some are symbolic of situations encountered around our world, all of these obscure oddities help convey a message regarding this mysterious life we live, in a universe yet to be fully explored."

Wall Hanging Sculptural Work with Drawings (Part 1/2)
I create detailed sculptural monstrosities paired with drawings to hint at the relevant issues of genetic engineering and biotechnology that are occurring in today’s world. Monsters were and still are used to control, deter, challenge, inspire, threaten and seduce human beings in different situations. By using the power of the unknown and the mysterious, the visceral urge to touch and a high level of detail, I lure the viewer in and make them want to investigate and question. These works are primarily made from clay with other elements added to help convey concept. They can be needy, invasive, harmful, helpful, curious, unpredictable, highly intelligent and oh so productive when ‘engineered’ correctly.
