    My current work investigates the body and narrative through mixed media abstraction.  Using yoga mats, a synthetic proxy for the organic body, I suspend gestures and forms in a plane of tactile, utilitarian material displayed as 2D works.  Generated from an exaggeration of corporeal imperfection, the shapes emote and participate in their environments, playful, sardonic and absurd.
