Disjectra Membra
Disjecta membra ,a Latin phrase meaning scattered fragments is a collection of images produced during the Covid lockdown . I used the time to review older, unused images and to reimagine them, juxtaposed ,to create new digital prints. Many of these were darkroom prints and negatives that were digitized. The red and blue colors refer back to the toners that were often used in darkroom printing.

Home
Archetypal elements of American architecture are used to emphasize the sought after sense of stability and safety that homes are thought to provide. These homes are not presented in a straightforward way, but through a lens of memory and longing.
Remember
This work continues an investigation of the variations of memory. The images depict scenes of embedded recollection and emotion.. Text and image merge to tell stories, real or imagined. . The work is influenced by the filmmakers Alain Resnais and F.W. Murnau, and the use of words with images in the work of Francisco Goya.
