    Thee Harmoniggas is an all-Black a cappella ensemble. The group was founded in 2023 by Chelsea Monae and 9 other vocalists who wanted to build a safe creative community and practice space exclusively for Black vocalists.

    This is a video capture of one of our first performances at Motorhouse in Baltimore during the Mecca's Mic open mic series.

Chelsea Monae is a multidisciplinary creative entrepreneur from Baltimore. She is known as a collaborative music creator and performer, an arts administrator, and a braider. Monae can be described as a genuine, shamelessly pro-Black, Baltimore-born artist who triumphs through adversity and affirms her worth through creativity.

Chelsea Monae is my self-titled debut EP released in 2017 in collaboration with Maurice Carroll and Stinkiface Studios. This project explores concepts like love, relationships, trust, and destiny.

    • The Black Echo

    The Black Echo is a radical hip-hop and R&B project presented by the Connected Collective, which is made up of Chelsea Monae, Bari Lutalo, and Poet Deep. 

    This project was written during and following the 2016 election cycle. The Connected Collective aimed to create music that was uplifting, reflective, and encouraging for Black people living in the United States at the time. This project features vocals from powerhouse vocalists, Chelsea Monae and Amorous Ebony, melodic beats produced by Bari Lutalo, and incredible lyricism and flows from Poet Deep.
