Moving freely between furniture, sculpture, and object, these works are unconventional forms that play in  human gesture.  A tongue-in-cheek interest in overtly serious Donald Judd's essay "It's Hard to Find a Good Lamp"  (1993) is unavoidable. However, working on human scale via furniture and domestic objects creates consistent presences/entities that demand a humoring of emotional and physical connection. Ultimately using colors and concavities that ultimately prop and support. 

Forms and volumes held together through sheer tension. A material exploration in forms such as wickered furniture, shaker tape, webbing, baskets. 

 An exploration in coopered objects such as firkins, hogsheads , troughs, buckets leading to nontraditional vessels masked in color, veneer and composite materials. While not traditional coopering, the joining together of angled miters to create closed and opens forms acts as collage.
