Baker Artist Portfolios

Bran Winkler is a novelist, filmmaker, and archivist from St. Petersburg, FL. They moved to Baltimore in 2022 in pursuit of improving their professional development and in search of a larger artistic community. Bran uses their knowledge of the intrinsic nature of storytelling to build rich narratives that challenge the typical forms and stereotypes of modern media. Their work tends to examine the darkest impulses and desires of the human condition and how the duality of which is reflected upon lush and beautiful nature that often surrounds their characters. They attained his BA in Cinema Studies at the University of Central Florida (UCF) where he studied cinematic form, storytelling and theory and was the winner of the Founder's Award from the White Family Foundation. When they are not writing, you can find them hiking on nature trails or reading in coffee shops in the Baltimore region.  

They are currently working on their debut novel and are in pre-production for their first feature film.
