Brandon's profile

Brandon Winkler is a novelist, filmmaker, and archivist from St. Petersburg, FL. He moved to Baltimore in 2022 in pursuit of improving his professional development and in search of a larger artistic community. Brandon uses his knowledge of the intrinsic nature of storytelling to build rich narratives that challenge the typical forms and stereotypes of modern media. His work tends to examine the darkest impulses and desires of the human condition and how the duality of which is reflected upon lush and beautiful nature that often surrounds his characters. He attained his BA in Cinema Studies at the University of Central Florida (UCF) where he studied cinematic form, storytelling and theory and was the winner of the Founder's Award from the White Family Foundation. When he is not writing, you can find him hiking on nature trails or reading in coffee shops in the Baltimore region.

He is currently working on his debut novel and is in pre-production for his first feature film.
