Vyann's profile

Vyann is a rising singer/songwriter and composer devoted to creating music that speaks to her life and honors traditions of the Black diaspora. She writes and composes primarily in the neo-soul, r&b, jazz, and classical style. Born and raised in Baltimore, she studied classical piano for thirteen years, and is a self-taught jazz vocalist. She recently graduated from Yale University where she majored in Music and Public Health. Her influences include Erykah Badu, Roberta Flack, Alicia Keys, H.E.R, John Legend, Adele, Miss Lauryn Hill, and many more. Vyann is not only looking to contribute to the music industry through composition and performance, but she is eager to aid in the sustainable development of an ever-changing and developing industry.
