King Ceekay is a Randallstown-based artist whose work sits at the vibrant intersection of Hip-hop, R&B, and the global sounds of Afrobeats. Born and raised in the Baltimore region, Ceekay has developed a signature sonic identity that balances the grit of East Coast lyricism with the polyrhythmic infectiousness of West African percussion.
Driven by a vision to bridge the gap between the African Diaspora and the streets of Baltimore, King Ceekay explores themes of cultural identity, resilience, and modern joy. Their technical mastery is evident in their complex vocal layering, self-produced instrumentation & rhythmic flow creating a high-energy experience that is as introspective as it is danceable.
To date, King has performed at local venues , released the single location which reached over 100k streams and a tape that has over 300k total streams .Currently, they are developing a new project titled Contagious Vibes 2 which aims to fuse local Baltimore club influences with contemporary Afrobeats to tell a story of modern Maryland through a global lens.
