After several years of showcasing his collection in Boston,New York,Virginia,& Washington,D.C.,Sulaymaan settled in Baltimore in the early 90's to create The Urban Interior Museum in hopes of inspiring both young people & aspiring urban artists.Despite efforts to develope a showcase space for this amazing body of work,The Urban Interior never opened due to stringent zoning laws.Sulaymaan has continued to be a community pillar through creating amazing,mission-driven masterpieces.While the work of Sulaymaan is truly exceptional,he is rarely shown in the mainstream,as though ostracized by the most highly regarded art institutions.This highly visionary,self-taught artist is a must see.Sulaymaan is a self-taught,multi-faceted artist whose art is a reflection of his commitment to peace,equality,human & animal rights & environmental protection.
