Sharon Attaway is a self-taught artist who paints using a variety of mediums. Oils, resin, and multi-medium works are her favorites.
Sharon retired from the Baltimore County education system as a principal and created a second career as an artist. She is self-taught, but has taken some classes at MICA, Schuler School of Fine Arts, and Zoll School of Fine Art. In addition to abstracts, Sharon paints portraits, compositions, and still life. Her portraits are in the homes of the families of Michael Brown and Freddie Gray, as a legacy gift to these victims of police violence.
