Sandra Michaels is a life-long practitioner of the arts, with interests in ceramics, collage, painting, mixed-media sculpture, and fiber arts. She has exhibited at a number of venues, predominately in the DelMarVa area. She studied ceramics at the University of Maryland and drawing at Howard Community College. She is now retired from a successful Information Technology career with the Federal government, and pursues her interest in creating and making art with a renewed energy. She currently produces three dimensional masks, pencil drawings, as well as watercolor and acrylic paintings. She sometimes shares her enthusiasm for the arts and education by teaching drawing and painting to youngsters, in after-school enrichment programs.
