Samantha Fein is a interdisciplinary visual artist originally from Tucson, Arizona. She utilizes the visual form to create pieces that address contemporary psychosocial issues.
She received her Master of Fine Arts from the Mount Royal School of Art, Maryland Institute College of Art. She also holds a post-baccalaureate certificate in Fine Arts at the Maryland Institute College of Art and a bachelor?s degree in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College. As an undergraduate, she studied abroad at the Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana, Cuba and at the Universidad del Museo Social Argentino in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Prior to becoming an artist, she worked as a social scientist with an investigative focus on high-risk juvenile behavior. She was awarded a Fulbright research grant to study the substance use patterns of homeless adolescents in the Philippines.
