Richard's profile

Born in Brooklyn, NY and educated in public school, I was always interested in science. After majoring in biology in college, I went on for a Masters degree in biology at Hofstra University and then a Ph.D. in marine biology at the University of South Carolina where I studied the ecology of nematodes - tiny worms that live between the sand grains on beaches. I am currently retired.

I have been interested in photography since high school, and was particularly attracted to the work of western photographers like Ansel Adams and Edward Weston. My interests have changed and I am now creating surrealistic and imaginative photo composites and montages. I sell my work at small art shows in the area.
