Artists' Statement:

For the love of the game, why does this woman call herself "Presley’s Paintings"?

As you may have guessed, my first love and idol was none other than the King himself. As a matter of fact, Elvis even inspired me to try my hand at painting! I started out sketching and drawing as a kid. My father and great grandmother were oil painters, but I had always been scared to pick up a brush. But then, just a few years ago, artist Joe Petruccio did a series of colorful, pop-art type paintings of Elvis, and the first time I saw his work I thought, I want to paint like that guy! And so I did, and one thing led to another.

As a native Marylander now living in Catonsville, I grew up loving the Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Ravens. Much of my artwork now surrounds these two teams, as well bits and pieces of Baltimore pop culture, history, and icons such as Edgar Allan Poe, Natty Boh, cityscapes and everything in between. My paintings are in the personal collections of several Baltimore Ravens including Wide Receiver Torrey Smith and Cornerback Ladarius Webb.

Bright colors and bold designs are my favorite style of art to create.
