Baker Artist Portfolios

     As a kid growing up in Northern California I was surrounded by painters, my mother, great uncle, brother in law and eventually closest friend in college were all painters, and their love of art and commitment to their craft had a great influence on me.  Early on I chose to pursue photography within a fine arts context and went on to receive my BA, MA, and MFA in fine art photography.  After teaching for a time (including locally at UMBC) I moved into commercial work for many years, and as of eight years ago have come back to where I began, fine arts, and now maintain a very simple studio here in the area where I work at making art.
    My wife and I live on the far west side of Baltimore City and have a son in New York who is an actor and a daughter who is presently studying opera at the Peabody Institute.
