Paul Moscatt was born in Brooklyn, New York. He is a veteran of the Korean War serving 4 years in the U.S. Navy. He received his training at the Cooper Union Art School in New York City and received a BFA and MFA at the Yale University School of Art. He retired from the Maryland Institute College of Art as Professor Emeritus, was Chair of the Painting Department. He; has also taught at the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut and the Art Academy of Cincinnati. He continues to paint and teach privately in his Station North studio.
