Nola's profile

Australian soprano Nola Richardson has received attention for the "precision and clarity" of her voice and the sensitivity of her interpretations, particularly in the Baroque repertoire. She has performed as a soloist with the Baltimore Choral Arts Society, Tempesta di Mare, the American Bach Soloists, Bach Sinfonia and with the US Naval Academy Chorus at Hood College. Recently she performed in the American stage debut of Handel’s first opera, Almira, at the Boston Early Music Festival where she also covered the title role. Her operatic roles include Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Madame Silberklang in Der Schauspieldirektor, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Belinda in Dido and Aeneas, L’Amour in Rameau’s Pigmalion and Calisto in La Calisto. Nola also performs with many professional ensembles around the region including Cathedra at the National Cathedral, the Choir of the Basilica at the National Shrine, Eya, and Chantry.
