Michael's profile

My fascination with clay painting started in 1999. While on a quiet family vacation I began playing around with our son’s modeling clay.
I have fine-tuned my ability to blend and layer the clay. I became captivated by the immediacy of using my fingers as a brush, the unlimited range of color and the complexity resulting from layering clay, pulling the clay across the board to create veils of color and utilizing the three-dimensional property inherent in clay.
My photographs are primarily from our home and gardens, trees and wildlife.
