Mia Musa is a Baltimore-based comedian, writer, and creative whose work blends sharp social observation, personal storytelling, and unapologetic humor. Known for her candid delivery and ability to turn life’s messiest moments into laugh-out-loud insight, Mia’s comedy explores relationships, mental health, adulthood, and the everyday contradictions of being human—often with a distinctly Baltimore edge.
She has performed stand-up across clubs, theaters, and independent stages, building a reputation for relatable, fearless material that resonates with diverse audiences. Mia is the creator and star of the stand-up special Comedy Is Cheaper Than Therapy, which showcases her ability to balance vulnerability with biting wit and has helped expand her audience beyond the stage.
Beyond stand-up, Mia is a multidisciplinary creative with experience in writing, community-based storytelling, and digital content. She has developed original comedic projects, including web-based work, and continues to use humor as a tool for connection, reflection, and cultural commentary. Her original "My Lor Gig" was accepted to 11 film festivals through out the country, winning a couple of awards and solidifying a spot as a 2025/26 Saul Zaentz Fellow. Whether performing live, creating scripted content, or collaborating with other artists, her work centers authenticity, humor, and lived experience.
