Melora holds a BFA in painting from MICA and a Master of Acupuncture from TaiSophia Institute (now Notre Dame of Maryland University), where she taught and practiced for many years. During her undergraduate studies in Florence, she spent three months attempting to mix the perfect Pompeii red. She never did.
