Marion was born and raised in Baltimore, MD by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Williard and Susie Milton. Her father, Richard Shaw, Jr. She fell in love with art from watching her father, a master craftsman and musician from the age of seven. Learning to play bass guitar at an early age, Marion has fostered a life long . Inspired by her father's endless drawing, she began making visual art when she ordered a paint-by-number set from an ad in Parade Magazine.
She studied painting at Towson University, and received her Bachelors of Science/ Art.
