Kevin's profile

Rohde was selected from over 20 national and international applicants to be the recipient of Baltimore Clayworks‘ Lormina Salter Fellowship, a year-long residency that provides the selected artist with a studio and materials stipend and which culminated in an exhibition at Clayworks in the summer of 2014.  Rohde employs a sculpting process tied to century-old traditions of depicting the human figure. Originally from Binghamton, New York, Rohde earned his MFA from Edinboro University in Pennsylvania in 2012. He has taught figure sculpture classes in various educational programs and currently is an instructor at Baltimore Clayworks and Adjunct Faculty at Towson University, and George Washington University in Washington, DC.  He was recently selected as one of Ceramics Monthly's Emerging Artists for 2014.
